ABOUT DR. Callie Rose Teufert, PSY.D.

Dr. Teufert is a licensed clinical psychologist in Maine, with additional experience in health behavioral change. She believes in working towards client-defined goals through a collaborative approach and evidence-based treatments, which are gold-standard therapies with the strongest research support. Therapy is a personal and individual journey, which can improve one’s mood, as well as their overall health and well-being through perspective change and skill-building. Therefore, Dr. Teufert’s primary goal is to create a space of healing and growth through nonjudgmental sincerity and compassion. During this process, she teaches relevant tools and skills to improve mood, relationships, and behaviors, as well as sharing insights into clients’ patterns of thoughts and actions that they may be unaware of.

Dr. Teufert specializes in applying evidence-based treatments to a variety of specific mental and behavioral health symptoms. She primarily utilizes Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Dr. Teufert views therapy as a success when clients have met their goals and feel empowered to continue growth and personal development on their own via strategies and skills learned in therapy.

She identifies as a bisexual, cisgender female who is passionate about working with diverse individuals, with experience in working with LGBTQIA+ individuals. Outside of a therapy room, Dr. Teufert enjoys spending time with her partner and family. Her hobbies include reading of all genres, cooking, and crafting. Dr, Teufert engages in her own self-care via her art, walking meditations, and spending quality time with loved ones.
