OUR MISSION & VALUES

MISSION

To utilize the most effective mental health treatments to help individuals create and maintain psychological healing and wellness through their lives. Mental health shapes every aspect of how we experience the world: our relationships, our sense of purpose, and our ability to show up for the things and people that matter most. Psychological Healing, Inc. exists to help individuals reclaim that foundation. We bring together a diverse, highly trained team of clinicians united by a shared commitment to meaningful, lasting change. Not just symptom relief, but the kind of deep healing that carries forward into every area of life.

VALUES

We believe that we can best achieve our mission through the following framework:

DIVERSITY & INCLUSION

We value providing effective treatments to individuals of all cultures and communities, including but not limited to: racial/ethnic identity, religious affiliation, socioeconomic background, sexual orientation, gender identity, and ability status. In addition, our practice prioritizes recruitment of providers from diverse backgrounds in order to best meet the needs of our clients. We also take great pride in providing gender-affirming care, as well as providing mental healthcare to people with disabilities.

DIVERSITY & INCLUSION

SCIENTIFIC INTEGRITY

We believe that utilizing evidence-based treatments allow our clients to best achieve their goals and improve the quality of their lives. Our providers are uniquely trained in highly researched and effective treatments, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical-Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Emotion-Focused Therapy, and Integrative Behavioral Couples Therapy, among many others. We believe that utilizing a strong scientific approach allows our clients to not only achieve success in the short term, but maintain improvements made in therapy throughout their lives.

SCIENTIFIC INTEGRITY

SYMPTOM ASSESSMENT

In tandem with utilizing evidence-based treatments, we are strongly committed to continuously assessing how each of our clients are progressing throughout treatment. Much like how a medical professional would measure blood pressure and other health indicators to evaluate how well a medication is working, we believe that frequently measuring our client’s mental health symptoms best allows us to evaluate the effectiveness of our treatments with each of our clients. We are strongly committed to striving to ensure that our treatments are effective and meaningfully enhance each of our client’s lives.

ENGAGEMENT & AGENCY

We believe that that each individual has valuable insight and ability to meaningfully contribute to their process of healing. As such, our clinicians empower our clients to play an active role in their treatment by encouraging participation in the process of understanding their personal sources of struggle, eliciting feedback on the effectiveness of treatments used in session, and suggesting important therapeutic exercises to engage in outside of therapy in order to strengthen skills learned in session. We believe that by having clients heavily involved in the process of therapy, they are most able to take agency over changes they make in their lives.

COLLABORATION

We believe that we are able to best meet the needs of our clients through interdisciplinary collaboration and working with other members of the client’s healthcare team. With the client’s permission, we frequently connect with psychiatrists and other medical professionals involved in our client’s care in order to develop the most holistic treatment approach. Ultimately, this approach allows us to provide the most effective, gold-standard care to our clients.
