About Dr. Adria Pearson-Mauro, Ph.D.
Dr. Adria Pearson-Mauro is a clinical psychologist with over 15 years of experience providing assessment and psychotherapy to adults. She lives in Colorado, where she owns a private practice (Psychological Services). She is licensed in both Colorado and California and is also a licensed telehealth provider. Her psychotherapy approach is evidence-based cognitive behavioral therapy, specifically Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She takes a patient-centered, collaborative approach that supports patient empowerment. Building a trusting therapeutic relationship is also integral to her practice.
Background & Experience
After completing her Ph.D. in clinical psychology with a focus on treating complex trauma, Dr. Pearson-Mauro completed her fellowship at the VA Long Beach Healthcare System with a specialty focus in psychosocial recovery from chronic or severe mental illness. She then served on faculty at the University of Colorado School of Medicine until 2019. During that time, she provided patient care, conducted research, taught graduate students, and supervised psychiatry residents. In 2019 she opened her private practice and has been in business since that time. In 2026 she graduated with a Master’s in psychopharmacology as part of the requirements to become a prescribing psychologist in Colorado.
