UnitedHealthcare (UHC) and Optum members in Florida can see an in-network psychologist without fighting traffic on Interstate 4 or Interstate 95. Psychological Healing offers secure video therapy across the state with clinicians who specialize in values-based therapy and culturally responsive, bilingual care.

Read on for what we treat in Florida, how we match you with a clinician, and how we check your Optum or UnitedHealthcare benefits.

Video therapy from the Panhandle to South Florida

Whether you live in Fort Myers, Sarasota, Ocala, Daytona Beach, or Pensacola, telehealth puts our Florida clinicians within reach. Remember that the western Panhandle is on Central time while the rest of the state is on Eastern time. Storm season can close offices for days; video sessions often continue as long as you’re safe and connected. You need to be physically in Florida for each appointment. Read about teletherapy. If you’d prefer to meet in person, we also have offices throughout the US; ask our admin team whether in-person visits are an option with your clinician.

Concerns we help Florida members with

Our Florida Optum and UHC clinicians treat anxiety, depression, relationship strain with family, race-based stress, immigrant and first-generation stress, adult attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and health-related worry, using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills.

Our Florida clinicians

Psychological Healing has 40 clinicians, offering in-person sessions in 20 states and video sessions in 44 states. Our Florida clinicians who are active with Optum and UnitedHealthcare see members by secure video across the state. When you reach out, our admin team matches you with a clinician whose license, focus, and schedule fit what you need. You can read about everyone on our team.

Privacy and secure video

Sessions take place by secure video, and your clinician follows the same confidentiality standards as in an office. Our admin team can explain how your information is handled. If you have questions about privacy when joining from work or a shared home in Florida, ask us. We’re glad to help you plan.

Optum or UHC coverage, step by step

Send your member identification (ID) number through our Contact page. Our admin team then confirms whether Optum or UnitedHealthcare manages your mental health benefits, checks that telehealth from Florida is covered, and looks for any referral or authorization requirements. We explain the results before we schedule anything, so your first session can focus on you rather than paperwork. We do not accept Medicare or Medicare Advantage plans.

How to reach us

The easiest way to start is our appointment request form. Tell us you’re in Florida, share your plan details, and mention any preferences, such as a clinician’s approach or language. We’ll confirm your coverage and help you schedule. Curious about everything we treat? Browse our specialties.
