Therapy for Oscar Health Members

If you have an Oscar Health plan, your mental health benefits are typically managed by Optum Behavioral Health, Oscar’s behavioral health partner, through the Optum/UnitedHealthcare network.

Psychological Healing is not directly contracted with Oscar, but it is in network with Optum, so many Oscar members can see our licensed clinicians by secure video, and in person in some states.

How to check whether your Oscar plan covers us

  1. Look at your Oscar member ID card or plan documents for the behavioral health or mental health phone number, which is usually Optum.

  2. Send us your member ID through the request form.

  3. We verify your benefits with Optum before your first session and let you know what we found.

Oscar plans vary by state, network, and year, so we always confirm your specific plan before booking.

We do not accept Medicare or Medicare Advantage plans.

How your benefits apply

Mental health care is one of the essential health benefits that marketplace plans must include. What you’ll owe depends on your plan’s cost-sharing terms and whether your clinician is in-network. We’ll verify your benefits and let you know what we found before you start.

What we help with

Anxiety, depression, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), including Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), trauma and Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and more. Couples and family therapy are available with select clinicians. More on Optum/UnitedHealthcare.
