Nevada’s mental health workforce is stretched thin, and outside Las Vegas and Reno the closest specialist can be hours away. Psychological Healing offers Aetna members in-network therapy by secure video with a Nevada-licensed psychologist based in Las Vegas.

Read on for what we treat in Nevada, how we match you with a clinician, and how we check your Aetna benefits.

Telehealth across Nevada

Aetna members can join from Las Vegas, Henderson, North Las Vegas, Reno, Sparks, Carson City, Elko, Fallon, Pahrump, or Ely, as long as they’re in Nevada during each session. Appointments are on Pacific time. In a state where many people work rotating shifts in resorts, gaming, health care, and public safety, cutting out travel can make weekly therapy workable. Read about teletherapy. If you’d prefer to meet in person, we also have offices throughout the US; ask our admin team whether in-person visits are an option with your clinician.

What we treat in Nevada

Nevada members see us for anxiety, trauma and posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression, and substance use concerns. Our Nevada clinician also has experience with military veterans. Care centers on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).

Our Nevada clinician

Psychological Healing has 40 clinicians, offering in-person sessions in 20 states and video sessions in 44 states. Our Nevada clinician who is active with Aetna sees members by secure video across the state. When you reach out, our admin team matches you with a clinician whose license, focus, and schedule fit what you need. You can read about everyone on our team.

Choosing the right clinician

Fit matters as much as credentials. Some people want a more structured approach, others a more exploratory one. Describe your goals and our admin team will suggest someone. If the first match isn’t right, you can ask to switch to another Nevada clinician when one is available.

What we need to check your Aetna benefits

Just the basics: your full name, date of birth, and Aetna member identification (ID) number. If the plan is through a spouse or parent, include the subscriber’s name too. We’ll confirm that we’re in-network for your plan, that video sessions from Nevada are covered, and whether any referral or authorization is required. We do not accept Medicare or Medicare Advantage plans.

When you’re ready

Request an appointment through our short online form. We’ll ask where you’re located (you’ll need to be in Nevada for sessions), what insurance you have, and what you’re hoping to change. Then we verify benefits and suggest times with a clinician who fits your goals.
