If you’re a UnitedHealthcare (UHC) or Optum member in Nevada, you can work with an in-network psychologist without a long drive across the desert. Our Las Vegas-based clinician uses structured, goal-focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and sees members statewide by secure video.

Read on for what we treat in Nevada, how we match you with a clinician, and how we check your Optum or UnitedHealthcare benefits.

Secure video from Southern Nevada to the north

Members meet from Summerlin, Boulder City, Mesquite, Laughlin, Reno, Minden, Winnemucca, and rural counties alike, on Pacific time. You’ll need to be physically in Nevada for each session, in a private space with a good connection. For shift workers and caregivers, video often makes it easier to keep a steady schedule. See how teletherapy works. If you’d prefer to meet in person, we also have offices throughout the US; ask our admin team whether in-person visits are an option with your clinician.

Concerns we help with

Nevada members see us for trauma and posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety, depression, and substance use, plus related problems such as PTSD nightmares and insomnia.

Our Nevada clinician

Psychological Healing has 40 clinicians, offering in-person sessions in 20 states and video sessions in 44 states. Our Nevada clinician who is active with Optum and UnitedHealthcare sees members by secure video across the state. When you reach out, our admin team matches you with a clinician whose license, focus, and schedule fit what you need. You can read about everyone on our team.

What the first session is like

Your first appointment is mostly about getting to know you. Your clinician will ask what brought you in, how long it has been going on, what you’ve tried, and what you’d like to be different. You’ll leave with a shared sense of the goals and a rough plan. There’s no right way to show up; many Nevada members say they were nervous beforehand and relieved afterward.

Getting your benefits confirmed

Psychological Healing is in-network with Optum and UnitedHealthcare (UHC) for employer-sponsored and individual commercial plans. Once you share your member identification (ID) number, our admin team confirms your mental health coverage for care in Nevada and explains it in plain terms. We do not accept Medicare or Medicare Advantage plans.

Making an appointment

Send us a message through our appointment request form with your location in Nevada, your insurance, and what you’d like to work on. Our admin team replies with next steps, verifies your benefits, and offers appointment options with a clinician who fits.

Frequently asked questions

What does structured CBT mean?

Sessions have clear goals, skills to practice, and regular check-ins on progress, so you can see whether treatment is working.

What happens if I change jobs and get a new UHC plan?

Let us know before your next session. We’ll verify the new plan so your care continues without surprises.

I work nights in Las Vegas. Can I still do therapy?
