Licensed Psychologists in Hawaii
Psychologists for Oahu, Maui, the Big Island, and Kauai
On the neighbor islands, seeing a specialist can mean a flight to Honolulu. Therapy by secure video removes that step. Our Hawaii clinicians see clients on every island from home, and Psychological Healing has offices throughout the US. We see clients in Honolulu, Pearl City, Kapolei, Kailua, and Kaneohe on Oahu. On Maui we see people in Kahului, Wailuku, Kihei, and Lahaina. On Hawaii Island we serve Hilo and Kailua-Kona, and on Kauai we serve Lihue. Clients on Molokai and Lanai are welcome too. Our Hawaii clinicians use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), along with trauma-focused care. Our Hawaii clinicians see adults only. DBT is also used for bipolar disorder and overall emotional ups and downs. Some clinicians offer Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), so ask when you book.Insurance for Hawaii clients
In Hawaii, we’re in-network with Optum and UnitedHealthcare (UHC). If you have an Oscar plan, we see you through the Optum/UHC network rather than a direct Oscar contract. Anthem, Carelon, and Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) are accepted depending on the clinician and state. That’s the same on Oahu as it is on the neighbor islands. If you have a different plan, we check your benefits before your first session and let you know your options. We do not accept Medicare or Medicare Advantage plans.Specialties
