About Dr. Darius Wright, Ph.D.
Dr. Wright has worked with individuals across the lifespan and within various
settings including college counseling, intensive outpatient trauma program,
primary care clinic, and medical hospital. Dr. Wright’s approach to therapy is
through a multi-cultural lens; one that seeks to understand how culture
shapes the way individuals interact with themselves, others, and their
environment. Dr. Wright also takes a special interest in men’s wellness and
performance psychology, which he incorporates within his own private
practice.
Background & Experience
Dr. Wright received his Bachelor’s degree in Business from Auckland
University of Technology, double majoring in Marketing and Advertising. After years working in the marketing space, Dr. Wright pursued and completed a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
He later completed his doctoral internship with I Ola Lahui and post-doctoral training with Kaiser Permanente, Hawai’i.
