Therapy for Oscar Health Members

Clinically reviewed by Karan Singh, Ph.D.

If you have an Oscar Health plan, your mental health benefits are typically managed by Optum Behavioral Health, Oscar’s behavioral health partner, through the Optum/UnitedHealthcare network. Psychological Healing is not directly contracted with Oscar, but it is in network with Optum, so many Oscar members can see our licensed clinicians by video or in person at offices throughout the US.

How to check whether your Oscar plan covers us

  1. Look at your Oscar member ID card or plan documents for the behavioral health or mental health phone number, which is usually Optum.
  2. Send us your member ID, or call (949) 229-5820.
  3. We verify your benefits with Optum before your first session and tell you what you’ll likely pay.

Oscar plans vary by state, network, and year, so we always confirm your specific plan before booking. We do not accept Medicare or Medicare Advantage plans.

What it may cost

Mental health care is an essential health benefit on marketplace plans (healthcare.gov/coverage/mental-health-substance-abuse-coverage/). Your cost depends on your plan tier, deductible, and copay or coinsurance. We’ll tell you before you start.

Where we see clients

Through the Optum/UnitedHealthcare network, we see Oscar members by video in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Nevada, New Hampshire, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Texas, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin. We’ll confirm whether your Oscar plan covers care with us in your state. For in-person visits, we have offices throughout the US.

What we help with

Anxiety, depression, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), trauma and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), couples and family therapy, among others. More on Optum/UnitedHealthcare.
