Psychological Healing is in-network with Aetna. Our licensed psychologists and therapists see Aetna members by secure video, and we verify your benefits before your first session, so you know what to expect.
In-network with Aetna in 16 states, from Arizona to Wisconsin. See the full list below.
Does Aetna cover therapy?
In most cases, yes. Most Aetna medical plans include outpatient mental health benefits, often called behavioral health benefits. Under the federal Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act, most plans must cover mental health care on terms comparable to medical care. Your plan sets the details, such as your deductible and your share of each session, so we look them up for you.

States where we see Aetna members
We see Aetna members by secure video in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Nevada, New Hampshire, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Texas, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin.
You need to be physically located in one of these states at the time of each session. Our 40 clinicians are licensed across 20 states, and the list above shows where we’re in-network with Aetna.
How billing works with Aetna
We’re in-network with Aetna, so we bill Aetna directly. Your cost depends on your plan’s deductible and coinsurance. We verify your benefits and tell you what you’ll pay before your first session. Health savings account (HSA) and flexible spending account (FSA) funds can usually be used.
We do not accept Medicare or Medicare Advantage plans.
Tips for using your Aetna benefits
- Check the back of your card for the behavioral health or mental health phone number.
- Know where you are on your deductible, especially early in the plan year.
- Ask about referrals. Most Aetna preferred provider organization (PPO) and open access plans don’t require one for therapy, but some health maintenance organization (HMO) plans do. We check for you.
- Tell us about plan changes before your next session.
- Review your Explanation of Benefits (EOB) to see what was billed and what you owe.
